Ever since the age of two, when I would go to the dance studio to watch my two older sisters dance, I was hooked on it!
My passion, drive and determination at a very young age has lead to my success, along with a very supportive family and parental guidance.
I have won numerous dance titles such as Miss Kids Artistic Review, Teen Miss Dance Educators of America, Miss Dance Educators of America and Miss Greater Cleveland (Miss America organization). I was also chosen twice to represent the United States in an International Ballet Competitions. In addition to winning numerous titles and awards I also won and attended scholarships to New York University, University of Las Vegas Nevada, Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago, Termaine in LA, Broadway Dance Center and Steps in NYC. Over the years I have taught at dance conventions and judged for numerous dance competitions.
After graduating from NYU with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Tisch School of the Arts I danced on Disney Cruise Line and then moved back to the Youngstown Area. That's when I decided to open Torrie's Academy of Dance in 2004 and in 2016 Limitless Dance Company (our non-profit organization for those with disabilities).
I love teaching kids of all ages! I especially enjoy watching them grow year after year not just as dancers but as respectful young ladies and men. Dancers come to the studio as just toddlers and years later develop into graduating young adults. The dance studio is like a family for the kids and myself. I know all the names of my students and their parents and some of the grandparents, and I love that side of my business as well.
